摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear whine prevention device for a manual transmission capable of providing favorable operation feeling by keeping an operation load low. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first head 61 connected to a shift and select shaft 20 via a torsion spring 64 rotates a second head 62 supported by a third-gear/fourth-gear fork shaft 52 pursuant to a select operation of a gear stick upon a reverse shift operation, a rotation force of the second head 62 is transmitted to a third head 63 integrally formed with a fifth-gear/sixth-gear fork shaft 53, and as a result thereof, the fifth-gear/sixth-gear fork shaft 53 moves in a direction parallel to the axis thereof. Consequently, a synchromesh mechanism operates and the rotation of an input shaft is decelerated in speed. In the case that an operation speed of the gear stick is high, an amount of the rotation of the shift and select shaft 20 is absorbed by the torsion spring 64, reducing an operation load, and favorable operation feeling is obtained.
