<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulbous bow effectively reducing damage to a shipping space of a collided ship in collision without changing a layout of a ship structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This bulbous bow 2 is formed by welding a plurality of inner shell vertical steel plates to an outer shell steel plate at predetermined intervals in the hull axial direction. The yield strength U (MPa) of the outer shell steel plate, the yield strength I (MPa) of the inner shell steel plates, and the yield strength W (MPa) of weld metal in the welded portions of the outer shell steel plate and inner shell steel plates, satisfy formula (1); I<U<W.
