PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, a conventional forked fitting instrument for pitons is such that the center of a columnar metallic rod for fitting detaching instruments on both ends of the top of a pitons-receiving pipe is joined, thereby being unfoldable. Ž
SOLUTION: The top of a pitons-receiving pipe is joined with a bolt of screw-carved male screw. Such two plates, one is joined with a columnar rod on one end and the other end is bored with a hole so as to be turnable relative to the bolt, while the other is joined with a columnar rod similarly on one end and the other end is bored with an ellipsoidal hole so as to be turnable relative to the bolt and so that the two plates are slidable to a position where they are superimposed with each other with the same width, are tightened with a grip-bearing nut. Thereby, in housing, the present forked fitting instrument for pitons can be folded by turning the plates by loosening the nut and also by making the two plates slide to a position where they are superimposed with each other with the same width, enabling the housing space to be made small.
