Provided is a communication device used in a communication system which requests for a retransmission signal upon detection of an error in an initially transmitted signal detected from a reception signal. The communication device includes: a storage unit which stores information expressed by the initially transmitted signal which has been detected; a reception unit which receives signals including a desired signal; a pre-information generation unit which generates pre-information for detecting a desired signal from signals received by the reception unit according to the information stored in the storage unit when a retransmission signal concerning the initially transmitted signal of the information stored in the storage unit interferes with the desired signal; and a signal detection unit which detects the desired signal from the signals received by the reception unit, by using the pre-information. This reduces the number of retransmissions.
