<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode element for a lithium ion secondary battery having excellent cycle characteristics, a lithium ion secondary battery using the same, and to provide a method of manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode element for a lithium-ion secondary battery includes: a negative electrode current collector; and a negative electrode layer that includes an alloy active material layer formed on the negative electrode current collector and a resin layer formed on the surface of the alloy active material layer so as to have an opening that exposes a portion of the alloy active material layer on a surface of the alloy active material layer. The surface of the alloy active material layer, exposed to the opening, and a surface of the resin layer form a step so that the surface of the resin layer is more spaced apart from a surface of the negative electrode current collector than the exposed surface of the alloy active material layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
