摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system, transmission apparatus, receiving apparatus and propagation path estimating method, capable of obtaining an accurate channel estimation result even if a region to apply beam forming thereto and a region not to apply beam forming thereto are mixed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to a wireless communication system characterized in that a transmission apparatus includes a mapping section for placing a modulation signal and a reference signal in a first class resource block and a second class resource block, wherein at least one of resource blocks neighboring in a time direction and a frequency direction of the first class resource block is placed to become the second class resource block, and a receiving apparatus includes: a resource block selecting section for selecting a group of resource blocks including at least one resource block, that is the second class resource block, from among resource blocks neighboring in the time direction and the frequency direction of the first class resource block; and a propagation path estimating section for estimating a propagation path while using the reference signal in the group of resource blocks selected by the resource block selecting section, regarding the first class resource block.
