<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand rest the position of which can be controlled to an appropriate horizontal position so that a player of a game machine can easily grip a handle of the game machine no matter what the distance is between the handle of the game machine and the front of an elbow board. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hand rest 1 mounted on an elbow board 3 that is made to protrude backward from below a game machine 2 has: a main body section 6 having a placement face 5 on which an arm U can be placed in its upper section; and an attachment means 7 which is made below the main body section 6 and is for attaching the main body section 6 to the upper face of the elbow board 3 detachably.
