An antenna is constituted by providing a pair of elements (conductive wires) made of metal or the like on a surface of a planar base made of a dielectric. This antenna constitutes a so-called dipole antenna with the elements. Each element has a trunk part extending in the length direction of the base and a plurality of branch parts branched from the trunk part. With such structure, an effective path length can be gained as the element in a small space and the antenna itself can be downsized.
