<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diepoxy compound in an excellent yield and high productivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the diepoxy compound expressed by formula (3) is provided by reacting a dihydroxy compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein, Y is a 1-8C alkyl or the like; (a) is an integer of 1 to 4; and Ar is a divalent alkyl-substituted cyclohexyl group or the like] with an epihalohydrin in the presence of potassium hydroxide having a 2 to 500 μm D50 (the D50 is a particle diameter at 50% accumulation from the side of fine particle size in a weight-accumulation particle size distribution).
