PURPOSE: An air compressor is provided to increase final discharge pressure within an air tank by segmenting the inside of the compression room of the air tank and compressing and discharging air at the same time inside an air tank. CONSTITUTION: An air compressor comprises a main compression part(100), and an air tank(10). The main compression part sucks external air and compresses the external air firstly. The air tank is connected to the main compression part and stores the air compressed in the main compression part and discharges the air to the outside. The air compressor comprises a compression plate(30), a driving unit, and an air control method. The compression plate is installed at the inner compression chamber. The driving unit moves the compression plate along each compression room. The air control unit is connected to a first compression room and a second compression room and discharges the air in the compression room to the outside.
