The engine (51) has a turbocharger with a compressor (8) that is mechanically driven by a turbine (17) and compresses gaseous mixture e.g. fresh air and recirculated exhaust gas mixture, to be admitted in an engine inlet. A low pressure recirculation circuit (52) has a recovering unit to recover an exhaust gas in an outlet of the turbine, and an injection unit to inject the gas in upstream of the compressor. A high pressure recirculation circuit (3) has a recovering unit to recover the gas in upstream of the turbine, and an injection unit to inject the gas in downstream of the compressor. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a heat engine.
