<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield structure allowing a support structure to be constructed in a short time on upper surfaces of storage tanks for storing low-level radioactive waste, the support structure supporting shield plates that shield against radiations, and accordingly, reducing the radiation exposure of workers. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The support structure supporting the first and second shield plates a1 an b1 includes a central members 1 mounted on upper-surface middle parts of the storage tanks T1 and T2, a plurality of basement members 2 each comprising a first attaching rod 3 connected to the central members 1, a plurality of linking materials 4 each comprising a second attaching rod 5 put between and connected to adjoining basement members 2 and 2, a plurality of stood rods 6 each stood by being inserted into the first and second attaching rods 3 and 5, support members 7 each connecting a basement member 2 and a stood rod 6, and a plurality of lateral rods 8 laid and fixed between adjoining stood rods 6.
