<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for negatively charged toner, mainly composed of polyester resin having uniform surface charged state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: According to this manufacturing method, base particles are produced by emulsifying the polyester resin, a positively charged compound is carried on the surfaces of the base particles, and the base particles on which the positively charged compound and negative charge control resin particulates are brought into contact with each other so that the negative charge control resin particulates are fixed to the surfaces of the base particles to produce toner base particles.
