<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably cool and hold material to be cooled even when fluctuation in thermal load occurs in the material to be cooled. <P>SOLUTION: This very low temperature cooling device10 includes a very low temperature refrigerator 11 and a heat exchanger plate 12 thermally connecting the very low temperature refrigerator to a superconductive coil 1 as a material to be cooled, wherein the superconductive coil is cooled through a heat transfer pipe by the very low temperature refrigerator. The device includes a low temperature gas container 13 storing the pressurized cooling gas G and a cooling pipe 15 connected to the low temperature gas container through a flow control valve 14 and thermally connected to the superconductive coil, wherein the pressurized and cooled cooling gas G is accumulated in the low temperature gas container 13, and cooling gas G is caused to flow from the low temperature gas container 13 to the cooling pipe 15 by opening operation of the flow control valve 14 to thereby cool the superconductive coil 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
