<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for efficiently producing a polycarbonate group-containing compound as a raw material monomer for a polycarbonate-based resin, and a (co)polymer of the compound, respectively. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a polycarbonate group-containing compound having a norbornene-based substituent by reaction between an epoxy compound having the norbornene-based substituent and carbon dioxide is provided. A method for producing a norbornene-based (co)polymer by polymerization or copolymerization (particularly, addition polymerization, addition copolymerization, ring-opening metathesis polymerization or ring-opening metathesis copolymerization) of the above compound is also provided. In the above, the epoxy compound can be obtained by reaction between a norbornene-based aldehyde and a methylene sulfide compound of formula (4), which can be obtained by reaction between trimethyl sulfide and a strong base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
