SPENT FUEL CONTAINER

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spent fuel container where heat is removed properly in the storage and transportation of spent fuel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The container includes a main body part shaped like an approximate column to contain spent fuel and a shield part which surrounds the whole perimeter of the lateral face of the main body part with a prescribed space between the shield part and the lateral face of the main body part and has at least one opening in the direction of the lateral face of the main body part.
