<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication server and an authentication method for authenticating a user even when a registered IC card is unavailable; and to provide a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: This authentication server 100 stores user information obtained by associating a card ID of each IC card, a service ID of service registered by each IC card and IC card authentication intensity of the registered IC card corresponding to the service each other, and card authentication information obtained by associating an authentication system with each IC card and each authentication intensity, determines whether the card ID acquired from a user terminal 200 or a service providing server 300 is associated with the service ID in the user information or not, and authenticates the IC card by an intensity of the authentication intensity or more of the IC card having other card ID associated with the service ID, and by the authentication system corresponding to the IC card having the acquired card ID, in the card authentication information, when determined to be not associated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
