<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery having high capacity and excelling in productivity in spite of using a solid electrolyte. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium battery includes on a substrate (positive electrode collector layer 11): a positive electrode layer 13; a negative electrode layer 14; and a sulfide solid electrolyte layer (SE layer 15) interposed between both the layers 13 and 14. In this lithium battery 1, the positive electrode layer 13 is formed by a vapor-phase deposition method and, between the positive electrode layer 13 and the sulfide solid electrolyte layer 15, a buffer layer 16 buffering deflection of lithium ions in the vicinity of an interface between both the layers 13 and 15 is provided. For the buffer layer 16, a lithium conducting oxide, in particular, Li<SB>x</SB>La<SB>(2-x)/3</SB>TiO<SB>3</SB>(x=0.1-0.5), Li<SB>7+x</SB>La<SB>3</SB>Zr<SB>2</SB>O<SB>12+(x/2)</SB>(-5≤x≤3, preferably -2≤x≤2), or LiNbO<SB>3</SB>is preferably used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
