<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door closing blocking device capable of holding a sliding door with an automatic door closing apparatus in an arbitrary door opening position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This door closing blocking device comprises: a supporting body 52 which can pivot on a pivot 50 adjacent to a rotor 38 normally and reversely rotated along with the opening and closing of the sliding door 20; an engaging displacement member 56 which is displaceably supported on the supporting body 52; and a displacement blocking member which makes a predetermined elastic force block the displacement of the engaging displacement member and the supporting body, displaced by the rotor 38 rotated by a door closing motion.
