摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst component for addition polymerization comprising modified particles used for producing an addition polymer having high bulk density, and to provide the production method of the addition polymer using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for addition polymerization is obtained by bringing a transition metal compound (A) of a group III to XI or lanthanoid series in the periodic table of elements into contact with modified particles (B'). The modified particle (B') is obtained by bringing a compound (f) represented by formula M<SP>2</SP>L<SP>2</SP><SB>n</SB>into contact with modified particles (B) which is obtained by bringing a compound (a) represented by a formula M<SP>1</SP>L<SP>1</SP><SB>m</SB>, a compound (b) represented by a formula R<SP>1</SP><SB>t-1</SB>TH, a compound (c) represented by a formula R<SP>2</SP><SB>t-2</SB>TH<SB>2</SB>and particles (d) composed of a substance different from any of the compounds (a), (b) and (c) into contact with each other.
