<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic copolymer having high heat resistance, transparency, as well as extremely excellent ability to control phase difference and extremely excellent resistance to moisture and heat, and to provide a thermoplastic resin composition containing the same, and further a molded product and film comprising them. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a thermoplastic copolymer containing (i) 5 to 60 wt.% of a cyclic structure unit such as a glutaric anhydride unit, a glutarimide unit and the like, (ii) 1 to 50 wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid ester unit having an aromatic group, and (iii) 5 to 94 wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester unit, and also relates to a composition comprising the copolymer.
