摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining apparatus including a reciprocating device, capable of machining a workpiece even if a cutting load is heavy and a machining reaction force is large. <P>SOLUTION: The machining apparatus comprises a slide member 3 with a tool attached thereto and a guide member 2, is equipped with bearings A between a fixed base 1 and the guide member and a bearing B between the slide member 3 and the guide member 2, is further equipped with a mechanism configured to allow the guide member 2 and the slide member 3 to coaxially move and generating thrust between the guide member 2 and the slide member 3, and having permanent magnets 4 for inverting a moving direction of the slide member 3 so as to exert a repulsive force axially between the slide member 3 and the guide member 2, disposed at both ends of a rectilinear traveling stroke of the slide member 3, on the slide member 3 and the guide member 2; wherein permanent magnets 22, 4 for retaining the guide member 2 are mounted on the guide member 2 and the base 1, respectively, to generate a retention force to retain the axial position of the guide member 2 in a contactless condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
