<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of a ceramic material powder which is capable of mixing a raw material powder of the major ingredient with trace amounts of auxiliary ingredients in a well-dispersed manner and a manufacturing process of highly reliable ceramic electronic components. <P>SOLUTION: In mixing the raw material powder of the major ingredient with the raw material powders of the auxiliary ingredients, the manufacturing process of the ceramic material powder comprises first adjusting the surface potential of the raw material powder of the major ingredient in a suspension and that of the raw material powders of the auxiliary ingredients in a suspension to be on the same side of the potential and then mixing the suspensions. This procedure brings the surface potentials of both of the raw material powders on the same side of the potential. The mixing, therefore, is conducted in a state where both of the raw material powders repel each other. Thus, a ceramic material powder having an excellent suspension homogenuity is obtained.
