PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a route guidance device for vehicle for safely and effectively providing information of a guidance route, using images. SOLUTION: The route guidance device for vehicle has a control means 1, which carries out confirming display of a guide route 55 by moving, after locating a guide route 55 from a start point to a destination, a mark 53 indicating the virtually determined position of a vehicle along the guide route 55 from the start point to the destination on a map, by which a scroll display is carried out on a display means 21. A recording means 23 records one or more moving images, obtained by photographing each of one or more photographing objects existing on the guide route or along the guidance route. When a vehicle approaches any one of the one or more photographing objects, the control means 1 makes the display means 21 display the moving image, corresponding to the photographing object which the vehicle approaches, together with the map; and while none of the one or more moving images are displayed, the position of the vehicle is decided so that the map is scroll displayed by fast-forwarding.
