<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head can perform a satisfactory printing even when being driven at the frequency of ≥20 kHz. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head includes: a channel member having a lower-face side manifold in a body, which is a flat plate, a plurality of liquid discharge holes and liquid pressure chambers, wherein the manifold and the liquid pressure chambers are connect by disposing individual supply channels and diaphragms in that order from the manifold side; and a plurality of displacing elements. The individual supply channels are connected to the manifold in the lengthwise direction of the body at pitches the average of which is 170 μm or less. Some of the liquid pressure chambers are superposed on the manifold, as viewed from above. A distance between the manifold and each of the liquid pressure chambers superposed on the manifold is 700 to 1,000 μm.
