An ID identifying device and identifying method thereof. The ID identifying device includes a micro-processor (5) having a micro-processing unit; a power supply section (1) supplying electricity to the micro-processor (5) through a power supply processor (2); a wireless signal transmission unit connected with the micro-processor (5); a circumstance luminance brightness detection module (4) utilized for detecting peripheral circumstance luminance brightness and connected with the micro-processor (5). The ID identifying method involves writing circumstance luminance brightness threshold to the micro-processor, the micro-processor detecting whether the power supply section is in the state of low-voltage; if so, the micro-processing unit entering the sleep procedure; otherwise, utilizing the circumstance luminance brightness detection module to detect the actual value of the circumstance luminance brightness and determining whether the actual value is greater than the threshold; if so, entering the normal working state; otherwise the micro-processing unit entering the sleep procedure.
