<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately establish a mask area for a masking target in a camera system with a masking function. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A camera system includes a camera, a shooting field shifting unit, a shift amount acquiring unit that acquires the shift amount of a shooting field, and a masking processor that masks a prescribed target within a captured image flame on the captured image. The masking processor includes first and second position computing units, and mask area establishing unit. The first and the second position computing units compute, on the basis of the shift amount in first and second time during exposure time, first and second relative positions of the prescribed target relative to the shooting field in the first and the second time. The mask area establishing unit establishes a mask area to mask the prescribed target on the captured image, on the basis of the first and the second relative positions.
