<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make thickness of a whole push type memory card connector thinner, making width of the same smaller as well. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a slider 40 provide inside a housing 30 and carrying out both-way slides in the insert/unloading directions of a memory card A which is inserted and pulled out in a memory card insertion space; a reversion spring which biases the slider 40 toward an unloading direction of the memory card A; and a push-on/push-off mechanism which pushes in the slider 40 and stops the same at a predetermined pushing position, and releases the same by another push operation. The slider 40 is installed in the housing 30 and positioned in a location where either a front side or a backside of the memory card A to be inserted into the insertion area to directly face the same.
