摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a hybrid vehicle for preventing a power generator from being enlarged. <P>SOLUTION: The control device of a hybrid vehicle is applied to a hybrid car equipped with: a variable shift mode in which reaction torque is output by a motor generator according to the engine torque of an engine, and the ratio of the engine rotation speed of the engine to the rotation speed of a driving shaft is continuously changed; and a fixed shift mode in which reaction torque is not output by the motor generator, but the ratio of the rotation speeds is fixed. The control device of the hybrid vehicle is provided with a control means. The control means switches the shift mode from the variable shift mode to the fixed shift mode when the reaction torque corresponding to the engine torque exceeds torque upper limit which can be output by a motor generator.
