<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for modifying a reactive aggregate that can induce an alkali-silica reaction in a cement hardened body, to provide a modification method of the reactive aggregate, an aggregate modified by the above modification method, and a cement composition and a cement hardened body capable of suppressing an alkali-silica reaction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An inorganic acid salt of aluminum is incorporated as an effective component into a composition for modifying an alkali-silica reactive aggregate, and preferably, hydrogen peroxide is further incorporated. By bringing the composition for modifying into contact with an alkali-silica reactive aggregate, the reactive aggregate can be modified, and abnormal expansion of a cement hardened body by an alkali-silica reaction of an aggregate can be effectively suppressed.
