PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus can apply a lubricant-containing coating liquid at a high efficiency only to a limited and needed portion (50) of a container lid (2). SOLUTION: The coating apparatus is for applying a lubricant-containing coating liquid to a needed portion of a container lid and includes a holding means for holding the container lid, jetting means for jetting the coating liquid in form of fine particles, and moving means for moving the holding means and the jetting means relatively along the needed portion of the container lid.
