PURPOSE: A curable overcoat composition is provided to exhibit high stability to heat and light, scratch resistance, and tolerance for scrubbing. CONSTITUTION: A curable overcoat composition comprises one or more gelling agent, one or more monomers, and photoinitiator. The curable overcoat composition is cured in exposure to radiation. The curable overcoat composition is colorless and does not turn yellow when cured. A method for applying the curable overcoat composition comprises the following steps of: forming images on a substrate; coating the images with the heated curable overcoat composition; cooling the curable overcoat composition to obtain the viscous composition; and curing the composition. |
