PURPOSE: A method and a system for downloading a file are provided to supply a more secured stability and improve a download speed. CONSTITUTION: A client obtains fragment file information from an index server(120), and a downloading operation proceeds after randomly selecting some file fragments from a contents transmission network(110). It is checked whether or not the identical file exists in another peer. When being connected to the peer that has the identical file, the downloading operation is performed after selecting some fragments from the file fragments. |
