PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating allergic dermatitis containing mixture extract of Houttuynia cordata, Glechoma longituba, Plantago formosana, Japanese elm and Morus alba L. is provided to ensure the effects of suppressing allergic reaction, inflammatory reaction, topical inflammatory reaction and inflammatory cytokine expression. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating allergic dermatitis contains mixture extract of 10-80 weight% of Houttuynia cordata, 5-65 weight% of Glechoma longituba, 5-65 weight% of Plantago formosana, 5-65 weight% of Japanese elm and 5-65 weight% of Morus alba L. The extracts are isolated through hot water extraction, alcohol extraction, and organic solvent extraction.
