摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more easily select a wavelength band in an electronic endoscope apparatus to form a spectral image in the selected wavelength band. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the electronic endoscope apparatus, an imaging element 15 captures the image of an object to be observed irradiated with white light, and a spectral image in a prescribed wavelength band selected by a user is formed based on R-G-B three color image signals outputted from the imaging element 15 and parameters in the matrix (spectra) data previously stored in a memory 36. The spectral distribution (spectral reflection factor data) in the prescribed band is created from the R-G-B three color image signals in the prescribed band selected by the user and the matrix (spectra) data and is displayed.
