PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converging device for solving a conventional problem of a converging device capable of handling a wide variety of products including a paper container in a small installation area with a relatively simple structure. SOLUTION: The converging device installed in conveyance routes of the products is provided with a converging part for integrating a plurality of conveyance routes to a conveyance route, an opening/closing mechanism, arranged just before the converging part, for determining passing/blocking of the products flowed in from the respective conveyance routes to the converging device, a detecting means for detecting inflow and retention of the products moving from the respective conveyance routes to the confluence part at upstream of the opening/closing mechanism and a control mechanism for opening and closing the opening/closing mechanism based on a detection signal generated from the detection means.
