<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image inspection apparatus that takes an optional time for an image inspection without interrupting a continuous image forming action in an image forming means. <P>SOLUTION: A recording paper accumulating section for temporarily accumulating recording paper is provided between an image reading sensor and a recording paper sorting section. In addition, an image information storing section for temporarily accumulating the read image information before an inspection process is provided.
