摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector for abnormal rotation of a workpiece capable of accurately detecting the abnormal rotation of the workpiece under current spindle rotation control conditions in which machining rotation velocity of a spindle increases. <P>SOLUTION: The imperfect circle part grinding machine is equipped with a sensor 20 opposite to an imperfect circle part of a workpiece W. The sensor 20 includes a failure determining means positioned to detect that a maximum diameter part rotates in a detection phase section oppositely to a maximum diameter part of the imperfect circle part when a spindle 13 is rotated in a region within a low speed rotation phase range where it is controlled to rotate at low rotation velocity by a controller to determine a failure when the sensor 20 does not detect the maximum diameter part while the spindle 13 is rotated in the detection phase section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
