PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which enables a user to easily designate a building, improves accuracy in identifying the building, and reduces a burden when the user acquires information. SOLUTION: The navigation device includes a positioning section 2, a map building database 1, a model construction section 6, an image acquiring section 3, an attention direction receiving section 4, a shape recognition section 5, a building identifying section 7, a navigation information acquiring section 8, and a displaying section 9. The model construction section 6 constructs a solid model of a current location periphery. The image acquiring section 3 acquires photographed images. The attention direction receiving section 4 determines the direction to the building designated in a displaying device which displays photographed images. The shape recognition section 5 extracts shape character information of surrounding buildings. The building identifying section 7 identifies the designated building using the solid model, the direction, and the shape character information. The navigation information acquiring section 8 acquires navigation information of the building from the map building database 1, and the displaying section 9 outputs navigation information with at least one of the voice and image.
