<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of regenerating a catalyst for discharge gas treatment which suppresses reduction in discharge gas treatment performance and oxidation of sulfur dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: The method of regenerating a catalyst for discharge gas treatment 11 which has ash adherent to the surface thereof. The method comprises: a crushing step S1 in which the catalyst for discharge gas treatment 11 is crushed so that 70-95 wt.% of the whole catalyst for discharge gas treatment 11 becomes coarse pieces 12 having a size exceeding a threshold size S (any desired value in the range of 0.105-1.0 mm); a separation step S2 in which the particles obtained by crushing the catalyst for discharge gas treatment 11 are separated into coarse pieces 12 having a size exceeding the threshold size S and a fine powder 13 having a size not larger than the threshold size S; a pulverization step S3 in which the coarse pieces 12 separated are pulverized to fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1 mm or smaller; a kneading step S4 and molding step S5 in which the fine particles are kneaded together with other materials and the mixture is molded into a catalyst for discharge gas treatment; and a drying step S6 and burning step S7 in which the raw shape molded is dried and burned to obtain a regenerated catalyst for discharge gas treatment 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
