PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress excessive load applied to a pipe-like separation membrane and a seal part of a joint part of the pipe-like separation membrane and a pipe end member by a fluid flow. SOLUTION: A pipe plate 31 is horizontally on an upper part in a module body 11, and a plurality of vertical cylindrical membrane separation members 12 are hung down in the parallel form. Upper end openings of the respective membrane separation members 12 are released to an upper side of the pipe plate 31 and lower end openings of the respective membrane separation members 12 are closed. A horizontal upper partition plate 33 is provided so as to form an upper fluid passage 34 below the pipe plate 31, and a horizontal lower partition plate 35 is provided so as to form a lower fluid passage 36 on a lower part in the module body 11. A vertical outer pipe 13 is laid on upper and lower partition plates 33, 35 so as to surround the respective membrane separation members 12 with a clearance. An upper end of the clearance between the outer pipes 13 is communicated with the upper fluid passage 34 and a lower end is communicated with the lower fluid passage 36. The vertical partition plate 41 is provided in the lower fluid passage 36 and a fluid inlet 44 and a fluid outlet 45 are provided at both sides of the partition plate 41.
