The method involves calculating successive noise estimations. A statistic model among several models is chosen to describe a statistical noise distribution according to the estimations. Parameters relative to the distribution is detected according to the chosen model. A symbol carried by a radio signal received on a propagation channel is estimated, by taking into account the parameters. - Independent claims are also included for the following: - (A) a digital radio communication receiver - (B) a computer program product including instructions for implementing a signal processing method.
