PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a ceramic layer on a graphite surface such as a graphite structure with high bonding power. SOLUTION: The ceramics coating graphite is obtained by coating a solution of a silicon compound such as a silane coupling agent containing an amino group on a graphite structure 3, drying it, then coating a slurry of ceramics that is composed of a ceramics precursor capable of forming ceramics by heating and sintering on top of the dried amino group-bearing silicon compound layer, drying it, and strongly adhering the graphite structure 3 to a ceramics layer 1 via an adhering layer 2 by heating and sintering.
