<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a modified olefin polymer having an excellent adhesiveness by a melting process, and to provide a modified olefin polymer which is produced by the manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the modified olefin polymer comprises the following steps 1, 2 and 3: the step (1) for supplying an olefin polymer (component A), an unsaturated compound having a polar group (component B) and an organic peroxide (component C) in a specified quantity ratio into a continuous extruder and mixing them at a temperature not higher than a decomposition temperature at which the component C has a half-life of 1 hour, for a time period shorter than the half-life of the component C, the step (2) for kneading the mixture obtained by the step (1) within the continuous extruder at a temperature not lower than a decomposition temperature at which the component C has a half-life of 10 seconds, for a time period which is at least three times the half-life of the component C, and the step (3) for kneading the mixture obtained by the step (2) within the continuous extruder at a temperature not higher than a decomposition temperature at which the component C has a half-life of 10 hours, for a time period not shorter than the kneading time of the step (2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
