<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head device capable of preventing an obstacle to movement of a lens holder due to relaxation of a crossover connecting coils. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the optical head device having the lens holder 80 holding an objective lens, tracking drive coils 91 and 92 attached to the lens holder 80 and a crossover 91b connectedly coupling the tracking drive coils 91 and 92 in a mutually separated state thereof, the lens holder 80 has projections 84f and 84g forming a plurality of roots having different lengths for passing the crossover 91b.
