<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film used for a stencil for laser stencil printing which enables more precise and speedy plate forming. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As for this polyester film which is used for the stencil for laser stencil printing, the maximum value of optical absorbency in an optical absorbency curve in a range of a wavelength 350 to 1,100 nm is 85% or higher.
