A method for the treatment with a reverse osmosis membrane which is suppressed in the flux deterioration occurring even under such conditions that only a slight amount of iron is contained in the water fed to a reverse osmosis membrane treatment unit and therefore no scale of calcium or silica is generated. Namely, a method of treating raw water containing iron in an amount of as low as 1000μg/L or below in terms of total iron with a reverse osmosis membrane, characterized in that a sulfo-bearing compound is added to the raw water. |
