<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club shaft in which reinforced fibers are prevented from twisting or meandering when providing a steep taper section in an intermediate section between a head side and a grip side, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club shaft is formed by winding a prepreg sheet made of plastic-impregnated reinforced fibers on a tapered core bar. The steep taper section tapered steeply is provided between a small diameter section on the head side and a large diameter section on the a grip side. A shaft body layer is formed of a bias layer obtained by rolling and laminating the prepreg sheet made of the reinforced fibers inclined at an angle of±35 to±55°with respect to an axial direction of the core bar and a straight layer obtained by rolling and laminating a plurality of prepreg sheets obtained by pulling and aligning the reinforced fibers in the axial direction. The prepreg sheets forming the straight layer are formed to respectively have a width where the number of rolling of each sheet is two layers or less, and the steep taper section is formed by making a cut in a longitudinal direction in a portion where the width of the prepreg sheet is increased corresponding to the area of the steep taper section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
