<p>The invention relates to a starting device for an electric power generator as a unit consisting of an internal combustion engine and a generator, in which the rotor (17) of the generator is connected to the crankshaft (1) of the internal combustion engine in a rotationally fixed manner. Said device comprises at least one starting coil arranged on either the rotor (17) or the stator (11), at least one starting magnet which is arranged on the other rotor or stator (17 or 11) and co-operates with a magnetic field of the starting coil through which a current passes, at least one fixed coil current switch (24) having two switching states for connecting the starting coil to a current source or separating the starting coil from said current source, and at least one switch actuating means which is arranged on the rotor in a rotationally fixed manner, co-operates with the coil current switch, and is used to switch the coil current switch into one of the two switching states according to the angular position of the rotor.</p> |
