PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably normalize the pitch of an acoustic signal. SOLUTION: A pitch detection unit 46 detects the pitch P of an acoustic signal SIN. A range setting unit 72 sets a normalization range R for each of a plurality of pitches (note numbers). A note specification unit 74 sequentially specifies notes corresponding to the normalization range R to which the pitch P detected by the pitch detection unit 46 belongs. Once the note specification unit 74 specifies a new note, the range setting unit 72 enlarges the normalization range R corresponding to that note, and contracts the normalization range R to the range before the enlargement over time.
